Pretty Hospital Gowns for Labor and Delivery

I went back and forth a bit on writing this piece because, let’s be real for a second here, birth can get messy. With my first, I was actually grateful to be able to strip off my hospital issued gown without a second thought and don a clean one. That said, there is something comforting about feeling a little more like yourself in what can be an intense and at times scary experience, albeit with pretty amazing results. I also remember spending time on and off hospital bedrest with my first complicated pregnancy and I definitely appreciated all the little things that made me feel more comfortable and at home.

Another point worth mentioning, I highly recommend you check your individual hospital’s policies on what you can wear for delivery, some may require you wear the gowns they issue or have a different policies for c-section patients. All the options on our list have snaps down the back  for easy access in case of an epidural and on the shoulders for breastfeeding.
