5 Bingable Shows for Fashion Lovers
It’s cold and flu season, and I’m down for the count. I thought I would put my recent hours of binge-watching to good use and bring you a sequel to our design shows post- with our favorite fashion picks. I may currently be snuggled up in my favorite sweats, but that doesn’t mean I can’t indulge in some OOTD-Inspo for when I’m ready to put on a real pair of pants again.
Next in Fashion
What happens when you marry Queer Eye and Project Runway with a little Alexa Chung thrown in for good measure? Next in Fashion. Featuring the Tan France, it plays like a less snarky competition than the OG Project Runway but still manages to bring the drama. The contestants are lesser-known designers from diverse backgrounds with talent to spare, which makes for a show that leaves you wanting to keep hitting play.

Styling Hollywood
While this show features the married duo of interior designer Adair Curtis and a fashion stylist Jason Bolden, the red carpet styling takes center stage. It’s a fascinating look at the styling behind the iconic looks of stars like Mindy Kaling and Serena Williams. While it’s heavy on the workplace drama, we would be lying if we said it didn’t keep us wanting to tune in to find out what actually went down.

7 Days Out (Chanel)
Ever wonder what goes into couture? While we’re only focusing on a single episode here, it tops our list of much-watch tv. It’s a beautifully orchestrated documentary that takes you through the week leading up to Chanel’s show at Paris fashion week and the flurry of activity that precedes one seeming singular event. It’s a testament to the craftsmanship and dedication of the hands behind each and every piece that makes them works of art.

The Vintage Voyageur
A high budget production this is not, but that’s part of the appeal. With a bubbly enthusiasm for all things vintage, host Allison Maldonado takes us to all of her favorite local haunts, chatting with the store’s purveyors about their specialties and how they got their start and tries on her favorite pieces for the camera. It feels like shopping with a good friend, was that friend to have an encyclopedia knowledge of vintage apparel, be extremely well connected, and possess an outsized personality.

L.A. Frock Stars
Featuring vintage with a capital V, this show is to designer vintage as Say Yes to the Dress is to wedding gowns. The show features one vintage store in Los Angeles known for getting stars red carpet ready, sourcing items for tv and film, and suppling stylist with a steady stream of one of a kind gems.
